Purchaser, Spares & Wares
As our service business grows and develops, we are looking for a Purchaser, Spares & Wares to join the Tana Parts team. In this important role you will be responsible for spares & wares sourcing and supply process. Even though you specialize in spares and wares purchases, you will work in very close collaboration with Tana Supply team and aligned with Tana supply policy and guidelines, including e.g. ESG requirements.
As the Purchaser, Spares & Wares, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing spares & wares procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and aligned with company goals. You manage the request for tender processes, ensuring transparency, fairness, and efficiency in vendor selection. You also conduct annual forecasting to predict spares & wares procurement needs and budget implications, and regularly update and maintain cost prices, ensuring competitiveness and cost efficiency. Your responsibilities also include implementing and overseeing some automatic purchases and doing the overall monitoring and follow-up on all purchasing activities in spares & wares.
In your role, you foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure efficient cooperation, favorable terms and reliable supply chains. You drive price optimization strategies to ensure the best value for the company. In addition, you are overseeing the rebuild purchases and change management processes to adapt to evolving market and company needs. You also need to develop and maintain a plan for critical components to ensure business continuity. You actively rationalize purchases to eliminate waste and redundancy, optimizing the procurement process. In addition, you oversee warehouse management, ensuring optimal stock levels, organization, and efficiency.
Expectations for background:
-Preferably a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or other related field.
-Proven experience in procurement and supply chain tasks, preferably in a heavy equipment business on a global scale.
-Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and warehouse management.
-Proven track record of managing tender processes and negotiating contracts.
-Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
-Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
-Ability and willingness to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
-Experience in working in an international environment and willingness to travel as needed.
-Fluent communication skills in English and at least some knowledge in Finnish.
