Ecomondo 2026, the 29th edition of the international event dedicated to the green and circular economy, takes place at the Rimini Expo Centre from 3 to 6 November 2026. Visitors can meet the Tana Italia team to discuss complete waste management solutions from primary shredding and material separation to high-density landfill compaction and identify the right technology for their operation. The new TANA MWB pre-shredder bucket and TANA Hammerhead shredder are introduced on Tana Italia’s stand A5, 200.
The exhibition is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tickets are available on the official Ecomondo website.
Tana Italia: a complete waste management process, from separation to landfill
Waste operators face very different requirements depending on the stage of the process. Those processing and recovering material need to reduce volumes and refine output size, while landfill operators must maximize compaction and available airspace. TANA Italia meets each requirement with dedicated technologies for every stage of the waste cycle.
For primary shredding, the step that makes heterogeneous waste manageable, the TANA Multi Waste Bucket shredder attachment brings volume reduction directly into the loading phase. Mounted on a 10- to 20-ton wheel loader, it requires no additional fixed pre-shredder, no modifications to the existing hydraulic system, and offers plug-and-play installation.
For higher volumes and continuous production, TANA Shark and Hammerhead mobile and stationary shredders step in. Built for long service life, they can process wood, bulky waste, construction and demolition waste, municipal solid waste, end-of-life tires, and textile waste. In their stationary electric versions, the same shredders deliver top performance with zero on-site emissions, lower noise levels, and the same long-term reliability as every TANA machine.
In the subsequent stages, Hammerhead and Shark take center stage again, with configurations tailored to produce different calibrated output sizes, while the TANA Raven X550T disc screen separates material by particle size and improves the quality of the final product in both two- and three-fraction configurations.
At the landfill, priorities shift completely to achieving the highest possible material density, making optimal use of available airspace, and ensuring a stable waste mass. In every respect, TANA H Series compactors have remained an industry benchmark for more than 50 years. The rigid frame and full-width twin-drum design deliver maximum compaction density, reduce leachate, optimize available airspace, and significantly improve performance compared with any competitor. It is no coincidence that TANA is the only company ready to take on any challenge by making its machines available for comparative trials.
