As Dealer Support Manager, I am responsible for the technical support of our distributors in the UK, South Africa, Benelux, France, Russia, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Bulgaria. I am also partly responsible for South Korea, Turkey and the Middle East.
My task is troubleshooting issues in cooperation with the responsible service manager or technician of the local distributor. I usually get contacted by email or phone concerning issues related to hydraulics, electronics and the hardware of TANA Shark shredders or TANA waste compactors. Traveling is usually an integral part of the work of dealer support managers at Tana. We arrange training sessions, as well as give physical tech support at the location.
I am a professional car and heavy machinery mechanic, and I started my working career at Tana as a welder in March 2001 at the former factory in Vaajakoski. After a couple of years, Tana was in need of a service technician with the ability to travel in Finland and abroad. I guess the main reason I was chosen was my English and native German language skills. I have studied hydraulics and electronic systems since then by myself to be able to support our dealers around the world. All the experience collected over 20 years makes it easier step by step.
I think Tana is the best workplace I have ever been in because of its unique diversity. My colleagues at Tana are nice. All the tools and working conditions are alright here, but naturally there is always room for improvement too.
If someone is considering applying for a job opening at Tana, I would like to say to him or her that go for it! Tana is a bit of a different company. Hope for the best and prepare for surprises, and you will not be disappointed.
